CCMAU commentary on 2006/07 performance

REANNZ launched the Kiwi Advanced Research and Education Network (KAREN) on 15 December 2006.  KAREN is a high-capacity, ultra high-speed network between New Zealand’s tertiary institutions, research organisations, libraries, wananga, schools and museums, and the rest of the world.  By 30 June 2007, 16 members were connected at 28 sites around the country.

REANNZ's Capability Build Advisory Panel identifies opportunities to facilitate and fund capability-building training and pilot activities from the Capability Build Fund.  The Capability Build Advisory Panel approved two tranches of travel grants and committed to one round of development projects in 2006/07.
